Mike - Re: "yesterday and today's action were all based on emotion

This is the daily way on Wall Street.

Congratulations on your quick $5 profit.

At what price did you re-short Amazon ?

Paul

Mike, where do you think it will head the rest of the day?

I suggest clearing out of short positions and then selling into the close. If short sellers don't shoot themselves in th foot, this stock should have seen it's run. Amazon tends to tract slightly under YHOO over time. It has recently moved up close to YHOO which was downgraded and is trending down. I think that this will be near the top for both of these stocks and the Internet sector.

I agree that the stock would have declined to the 140's if the split hadn't occured. I suspect that Amazon had this prepared and decided to spring it when the stock collapsed late yesterday. Otherwise, it might have been another week before it was sprung.
