Kenya AA: My mistake, the original post was 35259. And you are right. John K. gave a pretty good read on CS. I had the same concerns as you, because at the time I was hearing that someone like a Lucent or CPQ might find CS attractive, and I was hiping for a recovering in cpq before they went shopping again.

Regards,

Dan

Kenya AA: Once upon a time.....Elwood told me that Harvey (his Irish psychoanalyst) liked CPQ but was worried that it would try to acquire a networker in March, 1999: I replied that that was my one big fear about CPQ share price - namely, a buy-out of a networker even though CPQ was building networking into its own architecture. Somebody then said that it need not buy out a networker because it had a deal to buy stuff from CS. Pruguy, I think it was, then suggested that a buy- out of CS would be a good thing and not very disruptive because it was already committed to buy $1 billion of CS parts. John had already said something similar.

This all started with a drunken discussion between Elwood and Harvey.
