Steve,exactly your words brought back some vivid memories.
When the stock broke down I did a ratio backspread (selling covered and uncovered calls at high price and buying in the money calls for
future profit).The sold calls expired but I had no profit from the
in the money calls yet.The week of expiration the stock made a 10 point move up and I pocketed an extra $7500. Was it luck or smart
stratergy? A little bit of both!!
