SB, I think they snowed him. You have to remember, Merrill did not get the lead underwriting business on the convert, which would be the only way to co-opt him. The guy knows nothing about Asian capacity and never has. They simply allowed him access to the top ski slopes while filling him with crap about demand and low cost and all that flim-flam and never mentioned the idea that cos. in other countries might also be improving their efficiency.
