Vi: postscript- I am of Polish-Russian ancestry- I can find no traces of my old-country family, from a suburb of Warsaw. Mankind does not change that much in fifty years. I like stocks but I also keep gold coin. :-(

Several lessons from the 93.3% "correction" in Russia.
1) If you hold putz you lose, because put holders are not
paid back.
2) If you hold cash you lose, because cash becomes worthless.
3) If you hold your money in a bank you have no chance to see
it again.
4) You have no chance to see your salary again because the bank
that held it went bust.
5) Your salary is not worth much in the new money anyway.
Besides, you are not employed any more.
6) Your net worth used to be a couple of million $, now you
owe that amount and gangsters are after you.

What's left to own? Maybe, yellow metal under your mattress? Bears, be
careful what you pray for.

Hi, Bonnie!

I don't have the idiot box, so I have not seen that commercial.
Hopefully, the world is much more advanced nowadays, and some
European countries won't start to march should the economic
conditions deteriorate

Hi Bonnie ! Good to talk again.

It is so funny you mentioned that. I was going to post about that commercial too. They play it over and over. I have gotten where I turn it off. There is this funny silence at the beginning, so I know its about to start without looking.

The other one that bugs me is the lady who made all of that money by "Going LONG only !". Do you know the one ? She says "We were very pleased with the results". That grin kills me.

Cheers,
WS

Bonnie, the one I hate, the one that makes me cover my eyes, is the one with the little kid standing on one end of a broken bridge, looking at the span on the other side, while the narration urges him to "go ahead!"

I turn it off whenever I see it, think it is for an insurance company. Ugh!

Audi Commercial

My one year old son pretty much goes about his usual business wrecking everything in the living room except when that singing in this stupid commercial starts...he stops whatever he is doing, and just stares at the dummies until the horrible singing is over...I have no idea what it means, just thought I mentioned it<g>.

The other day a college basketball game was on TV, Temple-Michigan State...big ad to call 1-800 to get your own Temple University Visa Card...

No worry, if I ever get in a cash crunch I can always call that Worldwide Financial guy who is just dying to finance my dream....
