I have a question on the commission schedule. If I want to buy 10,000 shares today, and split it into two identical 5,000 share limit orders, will they charge me $20 or $110? From their info it sounds like $20.

I also have two accounts with Datek and One at Waterhouse. Waterhouse to me is unusable for daytrading. The one thing about Datek that I do not like is the cash situation. According to all I read, a money mkt account is covered by the SPIC as a security. Datek although fast and fair in their executions except at the open and close, advertises cash is covered by insurance up to $100,000.00. Many times my cash exceeds this amount. I feel uncomfortable having cash over that amount exposed. Does Brown offer any money market or insurance above $100,000.00. I also like the order routing of Datek thru the Island, as I get some unbelievable fills between the bid and ask. Thanks
