My 40 in NOV was based on the number of options in the money :> I was wondering even this morning how they were going to try to weasel out of paying for it. It is not a question of they dont loose much no matter what since they hedge very risky positions and all other kinds of arbitrage to pay the least, its a question of, Well if we really start letting people make money then we arent doing our job thing.
This is the first time ever I have seen such large descrepencies on option payouts.. On just AMZN it is like 250 mil. Usually the stock ends up expiring at the point of letting most options expire worthless. But they did end up not paying over 1/2 mil on NETA today.
And the SPX is the most widly manipulated pit in the world so what else is new.
