D: Tonight Ralph said he was a "trend follower." Well, that is just great. Can anyone here read the tape? I prefer to call him a momentum follower. If the momentum is up, Ralph says we are going higher. If we are at a low, we are going lower. Look at the timing of his two calls for the market going lower. Both were made when the market was susceptible. The one on August 4th was correct. Then on on October 8th he was dead wrong.

Last night on Wall Street Week he was a raging bull because the market has been going up. Moreover, Ralph said last night that he went bullish on October 18th, a full three days after Greenspan surprised Wall Street with a rate cut. So if we don't count the in-and-outs of between August 4th and October 18th, Ralph did a round trip where he sold out and reentered the market at pretty much the same level. Uncle Sam must love him.
