Dan, Much of your posts reveals to me that we are much closer in opinion than I had imagined. "This is a true enough statement. As I have told you. Without Jesus the Christ as the sacrifice, you have no life." Sorry, if that is the case, you believe that God gave you no spirit, that you were but an empty husk when you were born. God gave everyone a spirit that can only be taken away by themselves by a belief in death. This is the same choice as that of Adam and Eve. When they believed in the body and death, they found themselves to be naked. They believed they were their bodies, and not their spirits. You would continue the error or 'sin' of Adam and Eve, against the teachings of God and Jesus. " Phil 2: ( by Paul I might add ) 5 Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus: 6 Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, 7 but made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. 8 And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to death-- even death on a cross! 9 Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11 and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Hold your arms out to the side. You have just made your body into a cross. And if you make your body your God instead of that spirit, you will be hung to your death upon that cross of your body. Look at the picture. It is only a mind linked to the body that cannot perceive God, light, and the true nature of life. A mind that tears down the temple of the body and relinks itself to the spirit can. This is the self that is eternal. The other is the one within you who would seek to be Satan, and hang your spirit up on that cross of your body. Long live life! Death is dead. Think about it. Why would anyone in power want you to know that you can live an eternal life by choice? They don't want you to know. Then they could not control us with the idea of death, of taking away our life. Our life cannot be taken away. This is what Paul also wanted us to know, why there was dissention about including his verse in the Bible, why Paul's order withdrew from the Pistic Church, and the secret that Jesus's body was destroyed for telling us, if you prefer. Peace, Darrin
