Kona, It is true that cos that have money to burn may buy new hardware for CYA reasons. But the majority of cos., especially in this year of slow or no eps growth and banks toughening up on all but prime borrowers, can't afford to throw money in a hole. We have to remember that mgt. at these average cos are co-opted into the "gotta beat expectatins or die" virus on Wall Street, too. As far as selling boxes after 2000, the bulls do not look that far ahead. MB
