Oh...chief...one other thing....what if you buy a stock quite prepared to bail on the day....HOWEVER....you like what you see and this continues to the bell...you keep the stock overnight and she keeps running.....???
can we still be talking about it as a daytrade if you are letting others know where your stops are in at???? or must we complete the turn in a day??

Thanks for your detailed reply. One thing has me a bit baffled: You seem to refer to your day trading account as "gambling money". From everything I have read about day trading, if done by "the book" in terms of equipment, TA, electronic trading services and most important stop loss orders, I thought day trading represents fairly minimal downside.
I was actually looking at day trading to offset some of the risk associated with playing the "pennies" / juniors.
Am I under the wrong impression?
