With apologies to Elton John and Bernie Taupin..... Stock Touting I remember when stocks were young, Me and Guido had so much fun, Holdin hands and dialin phones Had a new gold Rolex and a Porche of my own. But the biggest kick we ever got, Was doing a thing we called touting stocks. While the other mooks were looking at their clocks We were pumpin and dumpin all them OTC stocks ... Well... stock touting is somethin shockin When your nothing but a shill, I never knew me a better time And I guess I never will Oh! lawdy mama those Friday nights, Guido and me would get really tight, And, the stock touting was out of sight. But the years went by and the touting died, Guido went and left me for an SEC guy, Long nights crying by the quotation machine Dreamin of my Rolex and my old stack o' green. But they'll never kill the thrills we got Running up and then dumping stock, Spending fast as the weeks went past, We really thought that touting stocks would last. purething
