Frank, what a wonderful response! I could picture, in my minds' eye, each thing you were describing. It was sort of like a PBS show. You know how, when someone else is talking, you (well, most of us, anyway) are formulating in your mind your response? What was on the tip of my tongue was the thought that the connection of fibers you were describing was so much like the connection of nerves to the spinal cord itself. So, the cables and wires are the spinal cord, and the conduits and connectors are like the vertebrae. I guess that's more poetic than the SNAP commercials, although I am greatly amused by the whimsy therein. Thanks for all. CobaltBlue
