good points.. but I think that's a different category altogher..

I was just talking about a person sharing info.. either he believed it to be false and passed in on as truth or he believed to be true and didn't know..

there's lots of other situations completely different, yet related that could be found here..

yours in one of them... if someone was gaining INSIDER info DIRECTLY from the company and knew it AND was making promises about bringing in buyers... and GOD forbid if that person was paid for doing so.. then that warrants quite serious penalties... so whomever that might be, time to head for the hills... across the sea and over to grandma's house.

I think another instance is making CONTINUED DETAILED PRICE PREDICTIONS for a stock with the intent to get readers to belive that one is knowledgeable to such events that would get a stock to without uncertainty reach that proclaimed stock price.

Another person who could be and probably should be accountable would be any broker who assisted in company mgmt officials selling shares of their own stock without asking question or verifying that legally the shares were registered, clear and free and instead just simply sold them regardless. (assuming the company did sell shares into the market as I've read here recently)
