I think I'm 2-2 with Baltimore (Cincy + Raiders). Should have been 3-1. Oh well.

This week's picks:

Jacksonville +1.5
Miami +2.5

Among the favorites, I like Minnesota, the NY Giants, Atlanta, Buffalo, and Denver. Among the underdogs, I like Jacksonville, Carolina, San Diego, New Orleans, and Miami. I also like the "under" in the Miami-New England game.

My picks are:

Atlanta -10.5 (hosting Chicago)
Minnesota -2.5 (hosting Green Bay)

The Falcons were in the midst of one of their patented scoring outbursts, in which the opponent is buried in a blizzard of points, when Chandler got injured. We would have covered the spread easily. I'm 7-2 on my picks this week, with the MNF game pending. These 1-1 weeks are getting on my nerves.

How the heck does a shabby Pittsburgh team beat the Jags? How the heck does Zona not cover the spread after being up 31-0?

It's interesting that the dominant teams in the AFC and NFC (Minny and Denver) are both offensive powerhouses, with defenses that are just along for the ride. As long as Randall is QB, I think Minny is vulnerable to a punishing secondary that doesn't let Moss soar through the air like a ballerina, and puts a helmet in his back. Deion vs. Moss will be huge on Thanksgiving, if Deion is healthy.
