I have used both IE and Netscape. To be fair to MSFT, the latest version of Explorer compares quite well with Navigator. In fact Navigator has some features now which it borrowed from Explorer.

I don't like the fact that Microsoft is flexing its muscle with respect to Java by dropping it from Mac platform. It probably hurts Apple more than Sun. However, if MS drops Java from Windows IE, it certainly would represent a short term setback for Java. The likelihood of that is remote, but I wouldn't put it past Bill Gates especially with the possibility of browsers evolving into pseudo-operating systems.

You wrote:

Sure I do.

Do I like to? Well, here is an excerpt from a letter I e-mailed to the WSJ in response to that cretinous Jenkins op-ed piece.

>>My own perspective as a user is that Microsoft forces me to clutter up my hard disk with a bloated browser that I do not want and that adds not an iota of functionality to the operating system. That is the opposite of increasing consumer choice, and consumer choice is an important part of the Microsoft case. <

Will it get published? Get real.

Yes, I use IE because it came loaded on my recently new Dell system, I know nothing about computers and even less about how to change to another browser. I really dislike IE: I am constantly subjected to "in my face" pitches on Microsoft products and services. Mind you, I own some MSFT stock, but it still annoys me to no end.
