Good morning, Penni!

You are certainly bright and chipper this morning. I am sitting here with my second cup of coffee, no, I think I'll go get number three.

Good! French Market cafe au lait with chicory. I like my coffee like I like my men, strong and bitter.

Eleanor is the sister of Henry. She is named after Eleanor of Aquitaine. Henry is named after Henry Plantagenet, because he is orange. Neither of them actually live up to their namesakes, but she is a very beautiful cat, and elegant in repose. Her clumsiness in motion merits her nickname, "Destructo-Cat," aka "the El from Hell," and "the dreaded pet."

The house was built in the 1960's. We've lived here for ten years, and I have had invisible cats ever since. They only come when I am sleeping by myself, never when my husband is in the bed. Clearly no harm is intended. I just perceive little movements, like light footsteps, but when I reach out my hand, there is no cat.
