I saw a passing reference to a Morgan Stanley survey to the effect that technology spending in 1999 will be at a slower growth rate ( 4% to 9%) than in the recent past, but the spending for the YK2000 will peak in 1998. On the surface, this does not confirm what EP said recently. Does anybody have access to the Morgan Stanley survey?

Weekend pastime anybody? How about posting your single best idea for 20% or more gain between now and 31st December, 1998. With a three-line summary of the fundamental or technical reasons. Not restricted to tech stocks. Preferably mid and large caps.

Feel free to bend the rules or suggest different rules.

For the sake of variety, CPQ and DELL should be excluded.
