Book-to-Bill is a funny number. Two things make it go up: increased bookings and reduced shipments. Seems to me that the b-to-b ticked up not because anybody is booking lots of stuff but because they are not billing much. Applied recently reported results with shipments about half of year-ago levels. Novellus shipments were down about 35% year-to-year.

Regards,

Dave Chanoux

b-to-b: geocities.com

it's now hard to guess for next week's price movement with WS's hyping and tons of new money poured into the market. but i still think nvls could go back to hi 30's to lo 40's in next 3 month. if i am now still short and have enough fund(i won't risk to get margin calls), maybe i will hang on there or average up if nvls move up.

good luck.
