Good evening thread!
Finally got all the bugs worked out of my ancient system and I am back on-line. I've only been able to lurk for a little bit during the days.

Looks like we are mired around 34.

El...whats the story on CMPL?

Victor, good idea on the short term play, I'll get back to ya on that one, I have a few, but want to keep it to one.

Hi Victor,

I believe the CA scenario you describe occurred around 7/22/98 about the same time the market topped. There was also a big snit about their ESO plan as well. They were a bit more upbeat in October. However, when I referenced Wang's comments in my previous post it was prior to the July earnings report.

I don't know - you can argue the Y2K thing from either side. My gut feeling is that spending will not slow but increase. Asia will rebound faster than people think and the $ will go to technology first. Guess we'll have to wait and see.

I'll try to make my pick for your "stock contest" by Tuesday AM. TA wise Monday should be a telling day. I've got to believe it will be a networker - they're all breaking out of bases but the expiry made things a little confuey. It'll probably be CSCO - Chambers is all over the place this weekend.
