Dan, to be MADE to stand is the way of a child, who would be good upon pain of punishment, and behaves because he is made to do so by a parent. No, I said He is able to make me stand. Make is not used as a punishment here and you know it, it's just that it fits your story better the other way. See what I mean about the way you attempt to change my belief and thinking? But as usual you are wrong again about how I believe that. It is HIS gift of Sacrifice that makes me stand, as I have said before(again and again) but that does not suit your purpose does it. Good. You decide what does and then of course it is in God's hands. Because in the end, there is nothing you can do .I'm sorry to hear that you do not believe in yourself, unless by this you mean that you do not believe in the part of yourself that is not of God. Your fitting and tucking words right where you desire for them to be, ain't you? Go ahead, save yourself by yourself if that is what you think this is all about. I choose to follow Jesus, because of His sacrifice, not mine. Romans: 7 "Blessed are they whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered. 8 Blessed is the man whose sin the Lord will never count against him." how? 16 Therefore, the promise comes by faith, so that it may be by grace and may be guaranteed to all Abraham's offspring--not only to those who are of the law but also to those who are of the faith of Abraham. He is the father of us all. and? 23 The words "it was credited to him" were written not for him alone, 24 but also for us, to whom God will credit righteousness--for us who believe in him who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead. 25 He was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification. 5:1 Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God.It doesn't say that Spirit is newly arrived, does it? 37......"Brothers, what shall we do?" 38 Peter replied, "Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39 The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off--for all whom the Lord our God will call." See what you choose. I see the gift of the Holy Spirit being received. dan
