Tim:
Sounds like fun! My question is, if you are into such high risk activities as arguing with bears over fish, what are you doing hanging out on the Dell thread?!

TL, I picked up a little bear lore during fishing trips in Alaska. Black bears can be dangerous, but are mainly pests. I met a middle aged lady who regaled us with stories of chasing them off her porch with a broom. But don't even think about trying to chase a brown bear! They say the only viable strategy against a brown bear attack is to roll yourself into a ball, shut your eyes, and pray they aren't mad enough to hurt you too much.
