B, I have held Medtronic in lesser and greater amounts since 1967. That's the only one. It is and was an experiment to see if buy and hold was a hoax. The 4 other stocks I tried it with all failed the test of time. I made money on them, but their long term stories got muddled. MDT has been wonderful, but I think it is the exception that proves the rule.

My target on Ligand is $50 within 5 years. I know that that would be woeful underperformance vs. internut stocks that quadruple in a week, but I still think it is worthwhile. <G>
