Third delay for Russian satellite launch
CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla., Nov 21 (Reuters) - The launch of a Russian television satellite on a U.S. Delta 2 rocket was postponed on Saturday for the third night running, the Boeing Co (NYSE:BA - news). said.

The latest delay was due to a faulty fuel sensor in the first stage of the Boeing-built rocket, company spokeswoman Christine Nelson said. Engineers did not have time to replace the malfunctioning device before the end of the rocket's launch window.

Boeing officials tentatively rescheduled the liftoff for Sunday at 6:23 p.m. EST (2323 GMT), but a forecast for bad weather could mean a longer delay.

The $150 million mission was already running two days late because of a rocket steering problem and communications trouble with the U.S.-built, Russian-financed satellite.

The Delta 2 rocket is carrying the Bonum-1 satellite for Bonum-1, a subsidiary of Media Most, a private Russian media group. The spacecraft, built by Hughes Space and Communications, will be capable of transmitting 50 channels of digital television to homes in western Russia.

It will be the first time a commercial Russian satellite has been built and launched by the American aerospace industry.
