can someone explain the attraction of the Celeron vs. the P2 chip?

A celeron 300A is about $130 vs $400 for a PII 400. The ABIT BH6 mobo is a good candidate to overclock the Celeron 300A (someone help me if I do not have this right) to be a near equivalent to the PII 400.

I have not been a fan of overclocking in the past however I think it is a good deal. Even if you do not overclock the 300A CPU will make a nice machine.

Dan, with the money I save on using the Celeron I plan to go SCSI.
This will more than offset the low business app scores.{maybe not so real world} the boards I'm looking at are;
Supermicro P6D6S
" "P6D6U dual cpu
both have the Adaptec 7895 controller

Asus P2B-LS
" "P2BDS
With the older 2940U2W controller
I E-Mailed Adaptec to find out the difference between the two
Also I'm thinking of getting a dual cpu in case there is future support for them or if I switch to /add BEOS as an OS
I read/surf alot but dont always understand all of it and hope to bring it here for disscusion for everyones benefit/confusion/aggrivation
toodles,jg
