Chip,

Iron Stomach Brigade member Enigma has completed the HEV half-life Hazard Course and is making his way to single player mode before advancing to deathmatching.

Kudos to Sierra on their tutorial. Very clever. My initial reaction is that I am impressed with the game. Seems to run pretty fast on my P266 with a Voodoo 1.

The only thing that compares to the Aliens TC (which I thought was underrated in it's day, good to see it has a lasting effect on those who played it) was the Doom CyberDemon who you could hear walking from half a map away. Put him and a Spider Brain thing in the same room and you have nonstop heart racing action. That was the epitome of single player for me. No other game, including Quake, has the same single player feeling so far. Of course, now I am purely a DM/CTF junkie.

Chip - any thoughts on potential features that might be in the new rampage chip that other vendors won't have? Support for shadow mapping comes to mind. Has there been any hint from anyone at TDFX about adding some radically new features? Are any software developers out there talking about potential new hardware features that they are planning to use? What about anti-aliasing? Any talk about taking that issue on? What about geometry acceleration? Anything really novel at all? Just wondering what TDFX is doing to stay ahead of the pack.

Regards.
