First, Xybr's patent position is a real key to their long-term success. Don't think for a minute that Rockwell, Siemens and Sony didn't rip through their granted and pending patents before signing up. Xybr patents are solid, or these companies would have ignored them and Xybr. Second, Xybr's patents are handled by Jim Ralabate, who did all of Xerox's work from Haloid to PARC. Remember when IBM got shut out of the copier business? Jim. Don't think for a minute that this guy doesn't know exactly what he is doing or that Xybr doesn't track all activity in the wearables sector. Timing is everything in life. Third, Xybr's existing patent and pending patents are mostly utility patents, which means that they cover concepts, not specific designs. Others may have patents that cover specific designs (like ViA's patent on flexible connectors between modules on the belt), but only one seems to have the concept of wearables covered: XYBR. Read 'em and weep. --- i took this from section on patents here click on why should i invest in xybr regards john hometown.aol.com
