Looks like WCW Nitro PC has been moved up. EB now says Dec. 1. Previously I believe it had been moved to Dec. 11. Great news.

ebworld.com

Interestingly, it also lists a Nitro 64 strategy guide due Dec. 23. Will we get a surprise Christmas release of Nitro 64? I doubt it (early January seems more likely) but it might happen since the strategy guides usually trail the game release by a bit.

Farrell has a lot of latitude to play with the numbers, just due to the way that video game companies do their accounting. I think we can count on THQ showing earnings growth over the year-previous quarter for a long time to come.

I also agree with Tom Seltzer's comment that even if THQ makes less money from WWF than from WCW, it would deserve a higher multiple as this is a 10-year franchise now and thus a very steady income stream. Ie, ERTS-like. Of course THQ is going to have the money rolling in that will allow it to buy more properties and grow even faster. Pretty sweet, when you think about it.

Edit: It gets even better. gamelord.com shows WCW Nitro PC as due Nov. 30. Wouldn't surprise me to see a few copies make it into stores for the big shopping weekend after Thanksgiving.
