Reminds me of a college stunt. One of the guys that lived in the house I lived in was into climbing structures around town. One night after drinking some hard liquor (not me, him -- I only had a few beers) he wanted to climb "something" (i.e. he wasn't in the mood to be very selective). Being more than a little bored I followed as did another fellow who I think was concerned about him coming back in one piece. The first target that occured to him was a microwave tower in the middle of town. It was Jan and about 5 below zero. We scaled a 10 - 12 foot high chain link fence with barbed wire at the top and began climbing the tower ladder. I had gloves on, but my hands got so cold that by the time I reached the 4th platform (55 - 60 ft up perhaps) I stayed on the platform trying to warm my hands while the other two went on up to the top.

While I was sitting there trying to warm my hands some drunk students onthe ground noticed me and they gathered around the fence chanting "go ahead -- jump, jump, jump!."

I got down shortly thereafter and headed back to our house while the other two went on in search of other conquests. I found out later that the one fellow who had been drinking the hard liquor almost passed out and killed the both of them while they were at the top of some ag processing structure in town.
