I am glad you asked that because I was wrong when I said they generally signal a reversal. Shark patterns can also be signals of continuation of a trend.

Reversal pattern would be a change of trend. From up to down or down to up.

Continuation is simply a following of the trend.

Need to follow the shark buy and sell signals to determine which way the stock is likely to go.
