Tom:

I appreciate your thoughtful reply.
Your mind share (which i take to mean inertia, laziness, whatever) is the first ( i exaggerate not) rational explanation that i've heard in months. It's the only I've come up with as I ponder this stock and company (2 separate things if ever i saw them).

A few points

<<<What if every TV and cable commercial in the
future has a feature for instant purchase from AMZN? What does that do to
outcomes-based research in the field of advertising? What if AMZN gets a lot of
advertising revenue? What if AMZN emails you when your friends have birthdays and
anniversaries with lists of their interests in material goods? It is risky to short something
when you don't know what it will be in three years. Obviously, I don't know either. >>>

Neither one of us "knows." Question: What if aol, yahoo, nscp, msn, walmart, and shopping malls or bots have channels or get ads -- who do you think will get the eyeballs. Also, again, what possible advantage does amzn have over other companies? Head start? Yup. Nothing else. Computers they will never dominate. Cars? Clothing? Toys? Come on. It would take a belief that every other company in the real world and online concede 10% of every industry to justify this stock price.
