That is the most persuasive bearish post I have ever read. I'll get the book.

I would never have lost so much last year if I was not already ahead about 200% on the year, having delusions that I was a skilled investor. It is really hard to distinguish skill from luck. I wonder if that is happening again with AMZN....

What do you make of the argument that online booksellers will be able to ultimately eliminate the consignment relationship of selling which land-based booksellers presently enjoy, forcing them to own their inventory, thereby really damaging their business models?

You apparently think DOJ will let BKS buy Ingram. I think we differ on this one. I figure if KP can get DOJ to dismantle MSFT, (and it looks like they are pinned to the mat while the ref counts em out), the Ingram deal will be small potatoes.
