My perscription?

Go get the latest Jerry Seinfeld CD. I just finished listening to it as I was updating my charting site. It is very good - major hernia alert!

Afterwards (not before!), think about which chip company is best positioned to advance the state of the art to the next generation. Which company has been working the hardest for the longest on new, revolutionary feature sets? Which company has the luxury of being able to respond to changing market conditions with an interim product and _still_ not affect the next generation development team?

Something I forgot to mention was the _size_ of the 3Dfx Fall/Winter Games Catalog that I picked up at the booth at Comdex. It is much better than the poster they used to distribute. Each game occupies at least half a page and includes a large screen shot. The book(let?) is 94 pages long and includes a list of upcoming games a mile long also. It really drives home the TOTAL Compatibility issue very well. Call up TDFX - I'm sure they'll send you one.
