Stokeley Carmichael ,, died Nov 15th, 1998 , age 57 ,, an American experience ,, and a black one .. that changed many of biases ,, as much as Martin Luther King ,, Stokeley was a hero in his own way ,, from Hotentots to Pygmies ,, from oldest university in the world in TimBuktoo to Saracens who crossed Sahara , the first slave traders ,, to British colonialism ,, who replaced their own serbs to new colony with African forced labour ,, kidnapped ,, and those colonialists went on to the rest of the world .,, giving images ,, that black folks were inferior ,, that they were lazy , that they were less intelligent ,, and this bias was disseminated to many of those also colonial nations ,, and those nations folks later came to America with same perceived notion that they have learned from post world war II text books from colonial Europe or imperial Japan ,, and set up delis in Harlem and mistrusted blacks and mistreated black Americans ,,
The difference is that black slaves that were kidnapped to Arab countries are fully integrated,, those who were kidnapped to the new world are still struggling ,, even with all the modern information and education out there ,, as a black in America or Europe you are likely be treated as a borderline wild animal or token educated wanna be middle class,, most of the time ,, no matter how many good christians say all were created equal ..
Africa ,, 1/3rd of world land masse ,, 1/3rd of world man power..
2/3 of all the natural resources of earth ,, from once an oasis of Sahara ,, where it has the largest artesian water hidden below the 110 degree desert to the magnificence of Kilimanjaro to the vast openness of South ,,
And many African Americans in need of pride ,,claim their ancestry to Egypt with connection to Nubian kingdom , which was a slave state to the upper Nile .,, and within the segment ,, there also is a value based on the shade of blackness,, to be closer to the ruling class as this is a colour defined bias,,
All sad ,, for both whites and blacks as well other minorities arriving in this new world ,, if they understood ,, the roots a bit better ,, from poetry of Sierra Leon,, to sculptures of Ghana ,, magnificence of Egypt ,, trading skills of Berbers,, agroeconomical skills of Hotentots ,, survival prowesses of pygmies,, as our fellow African Americans ,, who has lost their roots,, wiped out from their memories,,thanks to forced erasure by slavery and discrimination .. nothing to identify accept ,,Michael Jordan ,, and see a black couple drinking mad dog special in their neighourhood bill boards while the essence of beauty and the standard is set by Beverly Hills 10021 or Bay Watch ,,,
I have seen better intergration , in Holland ,, even though same bias exists ,, I 've seen better intergration in Birmingham ,, than in east London ,, still certainly better than in Redding ..
Whether it be via Martin Luther King ,, or via Stokeley Carmichal ..
I hope ,, that all of us ,,, one day ,, wake up and no bias exists in our hearts and in our children ..
