Tom, interesting link. Far too long and complex to digest quickly. I am very turned off by the conspiracy aspect, but the underlying facts may be accurate, and if so, will help me point me toward a more respectable source.

With respect to conspiracy theory, I had always considered conspiracy theorists kooky, but it was not until I took a class on the history of revolutions in Latin America that I developed a working theory as to why conspiracy theories are wrong: it's because they can't all be true. My class had about 50-50 North American and Latin American, it was a graduate seminar, and so we all presented papers, and I was amazed at all the different conspiracy theories that underpinned many student's worldviews. I don't know, maybe the Trilateral Commission and the Bilderburgers and the Jewish-Communist alliance are really controlling the world, but wouldn't they cancel each other out?<g>
