The fact that there is "no stock available" is not necessarily a bad thing. I'm not smart enough to be able to figure out what somebody who owns a giant position (or is short a giant position) is likely to do. If you like the company, you can hold your current position and add to it on any dips. For example, I bought ASND very recently for 35 bucks, and was very happy to get it at that price.

Another option to shorting the stock, is to buy a put option. If you really believe the stock price will decline you can later sell your put option for a profit.
