A couple questions/comments on MALL volume.

MALL float -- Zack's was reporting about 4.1 MM shares...but on 11/17...the "something-something" Value fund ( a 10% "insider") sold a large portion of their MALL holdings...shouldn't we assume this became part of the float? ( The sell was about 800,000 shares.)

What's MALL volume been the last 5 days? I'm just guessing here...but I bet it's pretty close to 20 MM shares...that's roughly 4-5 times the float...how is this possible? The "longs" aren't selling...how is this much volume possible? My broker said it was due to something called "reprinting"...basically, if the broker doesn't have the shares "in the drawer", he simply leaves an IOU, completes the transaction, and "settles up" at a later date. Anyone familar with this practice and care to comment? If this is true...it would seem to me your bid/ask would mean absolutely nothing... the broker could simply make-up his own bid/ask. Perhaps one of you savvy day-traders can shed some light on this.
