Interesting reading on the Raging Bull thread. PPD says something about a delay in the annual meeting due to some sort of vote. Should be interesting to see if he is right or not.

Samcat: I know you would like some communication..but maybe they have nothing new to report. Maybe, they are working on their business and although there are no press worthy news..they are moving closer to their goals. I think we have a little calm before the storm. ABMI is working as usual and eventually they will have something news worthy. I do not think currently we are a $2 stock but I think we are better than a $.2 stock. The $2 mark needs real improvement in the current story. Such as financing, strategic partnership, sales improvement, progress on core technology, sale of company or parts of patent portfolio. When that comes fruit...whichever it might be..then our value will increase.

There seems to be some reason to believe MDT is looking to corner the market on minimally invasive surgical companies but they do have competition:

biz.yahoo.com

ABMI has for years admitted it feels it is an acquisition target. The minimally invasive surgical market is one of very few industries where companies are still receiving a nice premium for their shares in any purchase. To me the largest impediment to any actual acquisition of ABMI by a larger company in this field has been American BioMed's inability to show enough progress. Once ABMI receives adequate funding ABMI will have to be considered a serious acquisition target again. That could happen anytime.
