<<Investors will get a rearview-mirror look at a
strengthening economy in the third quarter Tuesday,
when the Commerce Department revises its estimate
of gross domestic product. The first estimate shocked
the markets and economists with a 3.3 percent annual
growth rate.

Tuesday's number will probably be even higher,
economists say.

Robert Brusca, an economist at Nikko Securities,
said he thinks GDP grew at more than 4 percent in the
third quarter. "It could be a little jolting," Brusca said.

"Four percent is far too strong," Brusca said. "But
it's only one quarter.">>
