What you mean is are they thru manipulating it?...That dive on
Thurs close was calculated to be sure. It was perfect
genius...Hold the short squeeze on until day before options
expire, then near the close on Thurs some one dumped just enough
big blocks to start a selloff that was arrested at 153...Then I
imagine they sold the 150 puts like mad and bought up all the
Nov calls above 155 they could get. Someone knew the announcement
of a 3 way split would panic the shorts on Friday...Lets face it
they made a killing....I would imagine our next view will be for
them to bring a pre sold secondary to market in early Jan...The
management at AMZN wants to get all they can get for the stock and
will do anything they can to promote it.. They are working against
a deadline as Barnes and Noble-Bertlesman is heading for an
internet spinoff IPO very shortly. Unless one is a visionary,it
is a diffult play on AMZN. Last Thursday would have beena perfect
scenario to have played cheap options on Nov both ways and it
would have paid off handsomely... No, I missed the boat and
hindsight is still 20/20.
