If Microsoft had drop 30 or 50% on all this bad news, I might agree with you. But I have to point out the opposite possibility-- that the refusal for Microsoft stock to go down in the face of all this negative publicity is the result of fear and denial on the part of the big institutions. Denial, as in, "hey, this is MICROSOFT! They never go down! Not since I left college to head this billion dollar fund 4 years ago!". And fear, as in, "We're holding 5 million shares. If we sell, it may either start a panic, in which case the entire tech sector will plummet. Or hey, Microsoft could come out of this unscathed, and we'll look ridiculous."

I posted the following tale on the Zitel board a long time ago. It dropped from 71 to about 4. I think it's time to repeat the story:

A man was sentenced to be executed and was brought before the executioner. The executioner and the man stood facing each other. The executioner draws his sword and slices though the condemned man's neck. He slices with such speed and precision that the man's head remained on his body, with no apparent effect.

"Hey, look, I've survived!" said the man,
"Just nod," says the executioner.

"I'm feeling that there we're getting enough unsettling news and negative analysis to make MSFT a worthwhile buy. A poor time to buy is when things look rosy: little room for upside surprises. Even then, though, MSFT's value grows into its price in time. If you have the time and the money, you'll win. PW."

Hey Witch, when you posted this last week, MSFT's last trade was at $113 and today it's $128. Does making $15 in a week help your PMS? Good advice! Where from here? Any opinion? Fred.
