Tom: Thank you for your response.

Our opinions differ, but perhaps not as strongly as your post indicated. We agree on the vision of a business model sans programmers. I spent a career developing products to help transition towards that goal. I understand that goal, and I understand the challenges associated with getting from where we are as an industry to where we need to be for that vision to become reality.

What we don't agree on is the likelihood that Veronex will be able to convince corporate America that the solution to all their woes is I|Nova. The product as it stands today is immature. That's why you continue to develop it.

Your staff is experienced, qualified, and courteous. They have the capabilities to create a powerful product. I hope my prior post didn't sound derogatory towards them. I do think they need to review other similar products and how they do what they do. That's why I made my "ivory tower" comment. It never hurts to see how other companies approach the same problem you're trying to fix. You can then take the best of all solutions and implement them into I|Nova. In my relatively short demo, I saw several opportunities to "tweak" some of your functionality that would enhance its value to a client trying to use your tool. Those ideas came from looking at many different products that are trying to fix the same problem.

The "codeless" concept and the code to support it have been under various stages of development for years, and at this time it is fully functional. If a new application is developed using that concept, I|Nova could function successfully.

However, the newly acquired pieces of I|Nova have to compete with products that have been out there in the "real world" performing the analytical and conversion processes for many years. Those are not the kinds of tools that are written in somebody's garage, then sold to Veronex to become fully functional overnight. They have to go through growing pains, just like any other robust mass market software product. They have to be taught how to deal with environmental surprises as they happen. The concept of those tools is simple. The implementation is a nightmare. The companies that produce those existing competitive products have been doing so for several years. They're still not done developing them. There's no reason to think that your small staff has out-developed several other entire companies' efforts.

The concept of reduced program applications that execute on multiple platforms has been the vision of many industry gurus since the dawn of SmallTalk in the late 70's and early 80's. It's not a new idea. The concept is terrific.

If you can make it happen, and convince corporate America that you have the better way, you will do something that hundreds of genius-level software visionaries haven't been able to do. Veronex will then succeed beyond what any investors ever dreamed.

If that happens, I'll admit I was wrong.

Best of luck in your search for the Holy Grail,
