Drew: I am back online and I just read some interesting Merrill Lynch comments on DELL. They are more optimistic than usual -- but too conservative in their rating IMO. Here are the highlights of their comments that were released last Friday afternoon...

-"DELL reported F3Q earnings of $0.28/share, a penny above consensus estimates. The net margin at an all-time high was a pleasant surprise but revenue could have been a bit better. We are re-establishing our coverage of DELL with an intermediate term Accumulate rating and a price objective of $80/share. We believe that the stock isn't as attractive as the company at this valuation. We think 55 times our F2000 estimate of $1.45 is warranted. DELL should increasingly be viewed as an internet stock -- albeit one that with earnings. Management suggested an improving expense ratio in F2000 thanks to Internet efficiencies. DELL's direct proposition is simple, as all great strategies are, but the devil is in the details."

**** I like the 2nd half of the report better. DELL is truly becoming an internet growth machine. The smart money will realize this soon enough. I have ALOT of faith in MSD and his team to take care of all those details going forward. Fasten your seatbelt. I think we may be ready for a faster ride up around the holiday stock buying season <vbg>!!
