It sounds as if CW and I have quite a bit in common. I'd still prefer a bunch of majors if it wouldn't take forever and leave me a physical and emotional wreck because of academic overload. I kind of ping-ponged around primarily between physics and philosophy, but also to music, writing, religious studies. I even considered stock brokerage once, but I think I can do well enough just investing on the side. Still would've been nice to help other people build their financial futures though...

So CW is headed to college in something like nine or ten months? How are you feeling about that penni? My mom actually left teaching my senior year and got a new job. I really think it's great for her. No more papers to grade, and no more hyperactive fourth-graders (or their stressed out parents) to deal with. Now she's working as a tour guide with the Indiana state historic sites in Vincennes. She still gets to teach, but now it's adults with a genuine interest and the material that she's always had a love for. (Vincennes is great for a history buff)

Heraclitus seems very non-Greek to me too. I'm reading the Tao-Te-Ching on the recommendation of a friend of mine, (He's going to school in New York now. I miss that guy.) and it carries several of the same kinds of ideas.

Hmm... I don't know. There's a lot I'm sure you don't want to hear. I'll have to admit though, you went through the college experience, so not much of it would truly surprise you. If there's anything you want to know about it, you can always ask me.

Peace,
-Tom
