I love pecan pie as well...I usually put a little bourbon in mine for flavor. I use Martha Stewart's recipe for pie crust in the food processor..is that the one you use? Although lately I have been using th Pillsbury pie crusts that are in the fridge section, near the butter in the supermarket..the pie crust is so good, you really can't tell the difference. I live in New York, and normally have Thanksgiving here, but this year I am going up to Cape Cod , so I'll have to save a little time here and there. We'll be ten at the table. Here's the menu so far. Turkey...but of course! stuffing...I make mine with foccacia bread, herbs, celery, onion & chestnuts baked acorn squash stuffed with currants... mashed potatoes(I only use Yukon Gold's) string beans with slivered almonds mashed sweet potatos with marshmallow crust(I have NEVER done this before, usually make candied yams, but it was special request, and I caved!) peas...just peas creamed onions baby carrots with butter cranberry walnut sauce(found a neat recipe) and rolls of some sort..if I find a good recipe for cream biscuits I'll try it Pumpkin pie(here I'll use Libby's Pumpkin Pie Mix...very good, add eggs and evaporated milk Apple pie almond crescent cookies(dipped in powdered sugar..they're easy and yummy!) I'll also make mulled cider. Made some last night in fact. I love how it makes the house smell. Must be nice to have help. My son will keep me company in the kitchen , but I do it all alone. I don't mind really. My word, but you have quite an array of food! I mean to think of roast beef and turkey! How many ovens do you have? What do you cook in advance? P.S. I also only use unbleached flour...stays true in all recipes... Cat
