Actually, 114 according to Technician's Take on Street.com. Maybe that breakthrough will come tomorrow.

Gary,

Does Microsoft have resistance at 114? If it breaks up past that, how far does it go? Where is MSFT support?

David C. Balsamini

David,

You have a good eye, because I saw the same resistance with Microsoft (MSFT:Nasdaq).

In measuring how far a move can go, I always look for the number of "points" within the current congestion. A good rule of thumb says if resistance is taken out, then the succeeding rise should move by the same amount of points. In this case, if MSFT moves past 114, then 134 looks doable.

On the flip side, if MSFT breaks 94, then yikes!
