I know, I know...Hey, Ford makes an Escort and a Mustang...they tell you that next years model of the Escort is going to kick ass and have a more powerful engine and a whole lot of other things...then they tell you that "oops..we've stopped making Escort's, so those auto specs are really going to be our Mustang"...beats the hell out of the expectations for an Escort but doesn't live up to the Mustang name...then we our left to wonder what brilliant piece of engineering will take over for the Mustang...Again, it is expectations that have been mismanaged. And remember, this chip is due in 6 months, a full generation in the graphics world, yet it is not a generation ahead...it is merely SLI and 2D on a single card...and that is the high end version. Six months from now you get...today's technology.

BTW, I understand that they don't have the time/resources to get 32 bpp color in the V3, but whether it is useful or not, it is the biggest strike against TDFX in virtually EVERY review out there. And hard core gamers- our best customers- are aware of this...and the fact that our first implementation will likely be a year after nVidia...boy that makes me mad.
