Good question, I resurrected this old release:

Netscape, Qwest Commun In Internet Communications Alliance
Dow Jones Newswires -- September 17, 1998

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. (Dow Jones)--Netscape Communications Corp. (NSCP) and Qwest Communications International Inc. (QWST) formed a three-year strategic alliance designed to offer consumers access to a group of communications services, available through Netscape's Netcenter portal site.

In a press release Thursday, Netscape Communications said the agreement combines Qwest's high-capacity fiber network and communications services with Netscape Netcenter services, browser software and server software.

Netscape will use Qwest's Macro Capacity Fiber Network to enhance the performance and bandwidth of its Netscape Netcenter Web site by directly connecting to the Qwest network at speeds up to 622 megabits a second.

Qwest's fiber connectivity will make Netcenter an equipped Web site to handle the increased traffic expected with these new communications services.

The companies also completed a reseller agreement that lets Qwest's commercial sales division offer Netscape software applications to its business customers.
