wily,

Personal preference for me. Just like the feel of Netscape over IE. I haven't looked at the new IE (5.x???), so don't know how they compare now. It's like comparing Ford to Chevy or the other way around ;~)

Netscape has the ability to hide their tool-bars, (manually, by clicking the left edge buttons (4.x).

Thread

I often get a message that my browser is not set up to run "active X" and the window asks if i wish to continue. It does not seem to make a difference just wondering what active X does and if it is necessary for anything of value. I am using IE 4.0

thanks
david

I have used Netscape 99% of the time and have been playing with Explorer for a few days . It seems to me that Explorer is allot slower then Netscape. I am using new versions of both and can't imagine that the big giant would have a noticeably slower browser. COULD I have something set wrong...it just doesn't make sense????? Any ideas.
