Cavalry:

You really have to stop taking companies' optimistic statements about themselves as gospel. One would think that your experiences concerning the relationship between Dr. Pettit and AZNT would have brought that message home (see #reply-5864475 - I am, of course, assuming here that the company, rather than you, was the source of the misinformation in that instance.)

In the case of shopping.com, the article in question was published on Nov. 10, 1998 at which time the IBUY CEO said that the announcement of the Fortune 200 company funding was "only a week away". If there was such an announcement by Nov. 17, 1998 (last Tuesday), I must have missed it.

BTW, you did read the rest of the article*, didn't you? JMO, of course, but the plethora of consumer complaints about IBUY isn't the sort of thing which inspires either future customers or potential Fortune 200 company investors.

BTW, if you want to get a first hand look at some of these IBUY complaints, go to dejanews.com and do a search on "shopping.com". I did so a few minutes ago and got 22,000 (!) hits.

Cav, you sure know how to pick 'em doncha? IBUY is toxic waste. Read up on a little history, wouldja? Not much has changed at old shopping dot bomb since the undertaker was closed down and management totally revamped: McNulty still calls the shots just like a Japanese chairman who has resigned for some criminal activity (which McNulty has plenty of). IBUY's financials still SUX, it is a 5% GROSS margin biz w/ no leverage. If you want the real McCoy in this space it is CYSP-Cybershop.

Having a professional issue with the criminality of those associated with this stock (ie Wedbush Noble & Cook-clearing firm, Waldron-defunct undertaker and McNulty titular chairman), I will ALWAYS be on this one, so you must decide whether or not to contend with that. Boy, Cav, you sure do like to roll the dice don't ya?
